Neumann Contractors construction of the new bridge over Woogaroo Creek at Gailes was completed in March 2006.  The new bridge will support a future service road to be built on the southern side of the existing Ipswich Motorway.

The service road bridge is being constructed as part of the reconstruction of the Ipswich Motorway/Logan Motorway interchange, estimated to cost $A160m and scheduled for completion at the end of 2008. The new service road bridge and service road will temporarily carry Ipswich Motorway traffic during reconstruction of the Ipswich Motorway/Logan Motorway interchange.

While constructing the bridge Neumann Contractors had to allow for foot traffic from the nearby suburbs to cross Woogaroo creek.  The company utilised its own fabrication workshop at their Currumbin base to fabricate a footbridge enabling locals to continue to cross the creek safely without disturbing the job site.

Woogaroo’s close proximity to the major eastern distributor for Brisbane made this a busy site Neumann Contractors strict adherence to safety has enabled this to be an incident free site.

Neumann’s environmental management assisted in the controlled water monitoring on site for the existing waterway.  Noise levels were also pertinent on this site due to the close proximity to local residents in a nearby caravan park.
