Jubilee Park
The Master Plan for Jubilee Park provided for the area to be developed as a community district park and intended that the park “represent the most important sporting area within The Entrance / Long Jetty”
Neumann Contractors won the project and the completed works will provide new senior and junior soccer fields with flood lighting, and an overlying cricket oval with turf wickets, fully enclosed practice cricket nets, an amenities building including canteen, children’s playground, picnic and barbecue facilities, a cycleway / pathway circuit of the site with lighting, car parking areas with lighting to accommodate 123 vehicles, construction of kerb and gutter and road works of adjoining streets and extensive tree planting and landscaping of the site.
One of the biggest challenges with the redevelopment of the Jubilee Park Project was working wholly within an established community. Site access, noise, dust, vibration, project staging and subsequent field maintenance issues were all very sensitive topics and were managed through monitoring, consultation and clear communication.
Neumann Contractors completed the sporting complex and facilities under budget, to schedule and to the complete satisfaction of Wyong Shire Council. The Entrance and Long Jetty communities now have an important sporting complex, supporting the Central Coast Soccer Association and The Entrance Cricket Club activities. In addition, the circuit pathway / cycleway is popular with the local residents for training, walking and rehabilitation exercises and has provided an increased opportunity for general recreation.
