The Chinderah Bypass

A technically complex project to build 5.9km of national highway with minimal interference to traffic and local community.
Neumann Contractors was responsible for a $12 million portion of this project which involved dredging and placing the fill (700,000m³) required for the bypass, and construction of the embankments to final trim stage.
In 1997 the Company won the Civil Contractors Federations' "Case Earth Awards" which are Australia's environmental "Oscars". This Award recognises the company's environmentally conscious and innovative earth moving techniques.
